libwin-hivex-perl software package provides Perl bindings to hivex, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libwin-hivex-perl
libwin-hivex-perl is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libwin-hivex-perl package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libwin-hivex-perl *
You will get with libwin-hivex-perl package name, version, architecture and description in a table
